About Us

From Quarit Woreda to Wider Markets

Named after Quarit Woreda, Quarit Agro Industry PLC was established in October 2011 by founder and CEO Habtamu Tadesse. What began as a commitment to add value to Ethiopian harvests has grown into an integrated agro-industrial group headquartered in Addis Ababa, with certified processing at our Bahir Dar facility.

Today we clean, extrude, mill and pack fortified blended foods, trade agricultural commodities across borders, move goods through our own warehousing and transport network, and bring value-added products to market through commercial retail — one chain, managed end to end.

Every bag that leaves Quarit passes through the same six stages, and each one is checked before the next begins.

    Sourcing

    Maize, soybean and pulses aggregated from smallholder farmers and trusted local suppliers.

    Cleaning & grading

    Machinery removes foreign matter and every lot is graded before it enters the line.

    Milling & blending

    Extrusion and milling turn grain into fortified CSB+ and consumer-ready flours.

    Quality testing

    Our laboratory checks each batch against FSSC 22000 food-safety requirements.

    Packing & storage

    Product is weighed, packed and held in climate-controlled warehouses.
